NAYA believes that homeownership and housing supports are critical for the economic stability of Portland’s Native American community. The Homeownership Program provides culturally specific financial wellness education, home buying education and one-to-one coaching. Last year, the fair hosted more than 200 families wanting to learn more about home purchase, homeownership and other community resources.
There will be an abundance of educational workshops, community partners’ tables, and networking opportunities. Since the first Fair in 2006, NAYA has awarded over $60,000 in down payment assistance grants used by 30 homebuyers.
For Those Who Cannot Attend
Sorry you can’t make it to the 2020 Housing to Homeownership Fair. If you are interested in NAYA’s homeownership program check out our page on the NAYA website here. We also have Homeownership Program Orientations throughout the year, so when you are ready we are here. The NAYA events calendar has the upcoming program orientations posted. If you have questions or want to start the journey of becoming a homeowner, let us support you along the way. Send an email to homeownership@nayapdx.org with the best way to connect with you. Our homeownership team will follow up with you soon.
